HI,
Anyone on VANCOUVER ISLAND (VICTORIA) Holding clinics/working on projects.????????
I have just finished the filling/sanding of my USGI stock, And was about to spray paint, When I decided to add a pistol grip (AR15) So I am working on the wood NORC. stock to get it right first.
However I would like the barrel shortened, But the damn flashhider is bieng a real ##### and does not want to come off, I am thinking of just cutting the barrel at 18.5 and get someone to thread and crown the barrel.

Is anyone out there,?????? (no X-files)

Should have come to the last Wet Coast Brotherhood meeting.We shortened a whole bunch with the chop saw and then had them professionally shortened and threaded.I love the shortness.Remember if your gonna cut the barrel and have someone else crown and thread don't cut it too close to 18 1/2 leave some fiddle room for whom ever is doing the work. We used a chop saw just behind the flash hider.Good luck.
 
Thanks for the TIP, I would love to come to the WET COAST, But getting off the Island is a #####, Ferry fares went up again.When I do get off the Island,
I go to Port Angeles,WA. And head south.
I can borrow a CHOP SAW, Then find someone to crown +thread.THX.
 
remember..... you have a chrome lined bore.... I would be very careful who i choose to do this work. We at the west coast m14 supprot group here on the mainland have been taking our barrels to Dlask to get done. best deal around and awesome work.
 
Sometime [ Somedayyyyy, my Prince willlllllll commmmme ] I will be holding one of the Wet Coast seminars here on scenic Fantasy Island.

And while we are talking fantasies, I want this to be a two day event, one day on a range, to shoot a little service rfile.

Since my back yard is Heals Range, I have been exploring the possibility of arranging a day there for us 14 freaks.

Unfortunately, supporting shooting skill development seems to be a VERY low priority with our new politically correvct armed forces. Last I heard, they would rather have a golf course there than a range,

YEP ... if by that you mean closed to the tax paying public.
I drive by there every day on my way to work, and many times I see lots of vehicles parked there, and pipple in uniforms wandering around.

I am trying to get Heals reopened to the public.

If it is a NO HEAL DEAL, How about J.D.F. RANGE,?????
It is private and quiet and you can shoot at what you want, Although I have been unable to get a politicians to hold my targets while I sight in.
I am out in rainy Sooke.
 
Last I heard, JDF is unstable at this moment. The JDFers [ Sooke Shrubs ] don't want to bring any undue attention on their activites out there in disputed territory.

Most likely would be tying in with one of the Nanaimo Tactical/military Rifle shoots, which would require all participants joining up to one of the umbrella organisations.

I have the schedule for these nanaimo shoots ... this is something we all can discuss on Sunday, at the wet coaster 14 meeting.

I would love some help to remove my flash supressor and check my barrell index and add all the little parts that I keep buying and never using.
