After year of viewers commenting on my very first video which was grainy and shaky, I finally re-filmed it in HD!

This video includes the complete disassembly, assembly of the rifle as well as disassembly and reassembly of the rear sights with instructions oh how to calibrate your elevation drum as well as how to remove a stuck operating rod.

I also illustrate the bolt disassembly with the 30-06 case. It's all there in one video!

Enjoy!

thanks for the video. i had a bit of trouble putting my bolt back together. i think my extractor spring is too long. it protrudes past the bevel on the bottom of the extractor so i couldn't just push down on the extractor. i had to hold the oprod forward and compress the extractor spring with a small screwdriver with one hand and push down on the extractor with the other. would it be dumb for me to trim the spring? thanks for the video again.

I trimmed two coils off mine cuz it was throwing brass really really far and was almost impossible to reassemble. Worked fine for me

Thank you Tony, for re-recording your excellent movie. An earlier .pdf of your first video taught me nearly everything I know about my M1A.

After watching the new movie, I broke down and ordered the BAD-T4 from Battle Arms Dev., something I should have done years ago.

Thanks again for this masterpiece !!

Thanks for the comments! If anyone wants the original pics from the bedding instructions, send me an e-mail at tonyben@tonybenm14.com and I'll send you a PDF of the whole thread that someone captured before the pictures were nuked.

I have no experience with Chinese rifles and their springs but if trimming off a coil or two does the job, I don't see the harm in it. Replacements can be had for very cheap if you need to put in a new one.

It's cool too see guys who have such passion for the platform and the talent to present and share in the way Tony does. An asset to M14 (M1A,M305) owners everywhere. Soak it up m14 nutz ;)

Thanks again, friends! Just a heads up, a bedding video will be coming this year, but only as time permits. I have some other good ones planned and in the works too.
