Okay M14 , M1A and M1 Garand lovers:

I found the curved tip glue syringes that are perfect for applying GREASE to your :

Op rod raceways
Op rod guide
Bolt lugs
Bolt raceways
Hammer hooks
Hammer nose

Go to Lee Valley Tools (google it for yerself) and here is there product number:

Curved-Tip Syringe, ea.
25K07.05

Buy a few for yourself and fill them with whatever CHEAP grease works for your purposes (cold-snowmobile , high-tech- Plastilube, cheap- Ukrainian Tire Bearing Grease)

Should I make this a sticky ??

Hope this helps you all with the M14 Norinco-Plinko addiction

My friend's sister is an animal vet. I'll ask her about getting some. Here's some other price options:

Asking your dentist for a couple is a good idea also.:)

Hungry here: Hey, Steiner, that's a great price ! Way cheaper than Lee Valley Tools ! I'm gonna order a shztload and them present them at the M14 clinics !! Thanks for the link!!

Thanks Hungry, Marstar should give you a complimentary M305 for all the interest and help you provide for this rifle ;)

Hungry here: But a free M14 would ruin my karma. What would I do with an M14 ? I'm competing with AR's... and my sniper rig: M700 VSF. And I hunt earthpigs with an M700 .223 LTR Wannabe. The M14 would just sit in the safe.

It was an off-the-cuff joke, I probably shouldn't have said it as it isn't my place to comment on any company like that even in jest  But I am serious when I say thank you for all the information you've provided

T-Star:

The reason I'm advocating the curved tip version is because you can grease your hammer hooks from OUTSIDE the receiver and not have to disassemble your trigger group from the rifle for lubrication. You see, (NRA High Power Competition hat ON) when my Douglas barreled (HVY NM profile) was bedded into my McMillan (fat bastard) stock, we only disassembled our 'sticks' once a year, in January for the annual rebuild. So the rest of the year throughout the competition season, our bedding job(s) remained intact and not compromised by repeated disassembly. Have a look at the rear mortises of your stock liner. Notice that when you remove the barreled action from the stock, the REAR receiver mortices abrade the forward edges of the bedding surface that is supposed to remain a skin-tight support for your receiver.

And that's why we keep our barreled actions IN the stock throughout the match season. :D

Hence the need for the curved tip syringes, which I coerced (not at gunpoint) from my dentist during my annual checkups. yuk yuk yuk

Cheers,
Barney
