Hi

out of curiosity have people had any troubles with these rounds? My rifle often fails to feed the next round. Ive done most of the tests on the rifle, tilt etc.. and everything seems to check through.
Ammo or something still buggy with my gun?

thanks for the help.

Brass i believe?

these are the rounds that keep failing to feed.

and other brands of ammunition work?

Are all these rifles 18.5" barrels?

It was happening in my newer 18.5". My older, well worked in full length wasn't having trouble stripping rounds but quite often did not stay open on an empty mag.
Which I guess is sort of the same issue? 45ACPKING, are you thinking the bolt/action is not going back far enough to either strip a round or engage the bolt hold open?

I am on my second Norc M14. The first one I purchased sight unseen and when it arrived I noticed a distinct curve in the barrel. Returned it unfired and bought a second one used that I could inspect before the purchase. Put about 40 rounds (Norc) through it and had about 10 fail to feed.

That is Copper Washed Ammo Steel in that pic same ammo i use in my Norc M14 Haven't had feed issues yet but then I am not using the mini 5 rnd mag are u using that one or the 5/30 mag...

I am using the same Norinco ammo in mine and it works fine. No failures of any kind, yet. About 50 rounds so far.
2012 18.6" with solid oprod spring guide and wolff oprod spring.

I was the RSO on the firing line at an M14 (2 Day clinic) back in 2012 when chalkriver showed up with that copper washed Kommunist Zhinese zhit on my firing mound.

I told him to get that Zhit off my line since that Xhinese Xhit was just krapola. Well, didn't I eat my words at every firing mound when I looked through my spotting scope at his groups.

That ammo was surprisingly good! :dancingbanana:

Hence the moniker, "Team Norinco Plinko" from then on!

Copper washed cheeep Xhit for the win! :D

Cheers and keep helping the newbies...
