Rachel seems to be a little enthusiastic when she hits the primers and the last two shots she fired smoked a little. Of course the hammer was dropping when I noticed the smoke from the previous shot.

Anyhow, I took a look at the bolt and noticed a tiny flake on each side of the firing pin and a burr on the pin itself. Disassembled the bolt and the brass had flown in the hole nicely making an interesting little self healing shim. These two pieces were packed solid and stuck firm to the inside of the firing pin hole and took shape exactly that of the pin resulting in a normal protrusion. If it weren't for the appearance of imperfection from the outside, one would think all was well.

.051" protrusion all cleaned up.

Suggested course of action would be ?? I immediately thought polishing the pin tip about .015" shorter would work but hey, someone here may know from experience.

Cheers
