M14 flash suppressor splines suppossed to be milled through?

They are. Mine has the same markings - or lack thereof. As mentioned above, the flash hider is fluted instead of slotted. That's how the latest Bell/Poly offering has been shipping, as far as I know.

Odd, I was just logging on to post this question! Picked up my M-305, here to for to be known as my new favorite thing in the whole world, a week ago and have been having a blast with it since. Too bad the shop class missed that last step. Thanks for some leads on replacements.
