I am sure you may resent me asking here, but I broke one of the
front sight guards on my yes airsoft M14,I wish to upgrade it to
at least a realsteel M14 front sight.Would you guys help me in
understanding if a real front sight would fit?

It is a WE GAS BLOW BACK M14,it is considered 1:1 outside.I
was wanting to know the if someone could give me the inside
diameter and thread pitch of the front sight please.

Thanks guys:)

m14 blueprint are free and easy to find online. (google is your friend)

Thread are somewhat different sometime. If your barrel is in plastic forget it.

That look like a terrible idea to put real m14 part on a air soft. A real m14 weigth a lot compared to most other firearm. Also, on the safety side i would not do that. And think about the price, a new US manufactured front sight assembly, with flash hider, castle nut and bayonet lug must cost at least 150$&+

As far as if the front sight would fit, I do not know. I looked up your airsoft rifle and couldn't determine if the grove it fits in is the same. For that matter, I cannot tell if your rifle's barrel is made of steel or plastic, nor if the mount for the flash suppressor is the same.

My only suggestion would be, to find a Norinco Flash suppressor and front sight (or only the front sight). They will be cheaper and are manufactured to the US Military specs. They shouldn't be all the expensive either. You could check the Equipment Exchange, pm M14 Doctor (he won't be able to answer your question, but may be able to sell you a used sight if he has one), or post a WTB add on the Equipment Exchange. Hell, you could even go to a local gun show. I usually remember seeing at least one m14 flash hider at the shows I go to. Can't say if they were cheap, because I never asked.

The reality is though, that you will probably have better luck hunting down a supplier of replacement parts for your specific brand of airsoft rifle, and ordering a front sight from them. Otherwise, if you get the Norinco version, your taking a gamble as to if it will fit or not.

Good Luck! I always wanted to get into Airsoft but I couldn't afford both that and real guns, so the real guns won out ;)

Sorry,I didn't realize I left out some important info till you mentioned it.
It is all metal except the stock, but it is that funky white metal, the is
scale weight already. It is nice for plinking with,a little more kick than
my 22lr. I just wanted a better grade metal sight that is stronger.

Looks like your rifle is made out of cast aluminum. Yeah, the dovetail section of your front sight looks to be about the same rough shape of the Norinco M14s (M305) front sight. If it were me, I would assume it would fit and just find a cheap one someone is selling. Norinco front sights should be the easiest to find here in Canada and the cheapest. Quality wise, they should be no different then the real US Military alternatives.

Again, check the Equipment Exchange here, post a want ad or check your local gun shows/gun stores. No firearms license 'should' be required to purchase the front sight, as far as I know.
