M14 full auto ####

try doing it the way it was designed - put the butt plate cover up and lock it into your shoulder- and the 3 shot burst still applies- son of a b*ck-

A decent muzzle brake helps a lot, it's still not a good full auto platform, but at least rapid semiauto fire is made a lot easier.

I have fired a few different models of the M-14 in full automatic. I find the claims of it being uncontrollable a bit exaggerated but not far off.

You tap full auto guns, try for two/three rounds at a time
When we could do it at a range back in the day , after a while you got pretty good at it
The American 180 is good for learning to do it 22lr is cheap

It's a bit obvious but trigger control and form while firing go a long way. I have fired many full size battle rifles and haven't found any but the G3 with collapsing stock to be unusable in automatic.
