Hey guys, I tried to remove the gas cylinder to shim it as the gas lock doesn't get tight until about 9 o'clock (and my groups are terrible). The problem is my barrel, which has been shortened, has an integral band around it it just behind the muzzle brake that is larger in diameter than the gas lock - so I can't remove the gas cylinder to get the shims in there.

Anyone have this problem and/or know how to get around it? I can't shorten the barrel anymore, maybe a machine shop could grind down the band??

Cheers.

Check your muzzle brake and see if there is wear spot's were the bullets my be rubbing or see if it's loose & the crush washer is installed so that your muzzle brake is in proper alignment.
Also try to shoot the gun without the muzzle brake to see if it's the crown.
Plus try flipping the gas lock around to see if it gets tight @ 6 o'clock.

as suggested you the regular ones.. and split them your self

10-4 thanks...gonna try it tomorrow

I checked the muzzle brake and it looks good, but I'll try taking it off just to make sure. I can't flip the gas lock because I can't take it off, but the split shims should work.
Cheers.
