So I've read a few threads that say to use a "good quality grease", which is great and all, but what counts as that? I've got some White engine assembly lube kicking around in the shop, will that cut it?

I'm now using "Permatex Ultra Slick Extreme Sport Synthetic Grease" from canadian tire and it's working just fine. Smells terrible though lol.
That's what I picked up at Cambodian tire as well.
I couldn't find any of the great recommendation's from other experienced M-14 shooter's here to my thread query about low temperature shooting. This grease seems to be good though.
I'm still looking for Lubriplate 105,....I've read somewhere, that CarQuest auto part's is a dealer for it, so I'll check there next.
Lubriplate 130 A is the preferred grease as opposed to the 105. The motor assembly grease is a little thin and is for moderate temperature(150F).-However I am told that wheel bearing grease and run of the mill white lithium grease are fine.I'm still looking for Lubriplate 105,....I've read somewhere, that CarQuest auto part's is a dealer for it, so I'll check there next.
Almost any grease will work well. I use regular green automotive grease from Canadian Tire. A 5 or 6 dollar squeeze tube will last you a long time.
If you don't grease your M14 or M1A or M1 Garand rifles, yer #### WILL fall off!
You all know I could not resist!![]()

I believe the Lubriplate brand 130A is a calcium base grease.
Jesus people, it's piece of metal. Just buy the cheapest all purpose grease you can find and slather it on!
I grabbed whatever I could find in the chem. locker at work. I think it might say lithium on the tube and it's grey in colour. Rock and roll!![]()
i just squeezed some out of the grease gun i have in my garage into a syringe and use that. 1000+rounds and 0issues
