M14 Gunsmith on Vancouver Island?

Any of you VI guys know of one who has experience working on M14s? I wanted to get my gas system unitized and shimmed but I don't know any welders and I'd like to get it one by someone who knows what they're doing. Thanks

What I have never understood, why not use JB Weld for this ?

I have try JB , 9321, devcon .... all end up cracking i don't know if its the heat or the ''vibration'' from the barrel.... devcon and the 9321 are heat resistant

Thank-you, however, no gunsmithing license in place here and currently no plans to offer any kind of gunsmithing services. My focus is product development for the M14 platform.

There's that guntech guy here from Brentwood Bay that I think is a gunsmith, you see him posting every once in a while about precision rifles and whatnot

Nice, always wanted to do one of those clinics, the last one I signed up for at the malahat range here in Victoria was cancelled, IIRC. Alberni is a ways from Victoria but I could probably stay on Denman island overnight or find a motel locally. Where should I check for updates?

Early spring? DAMNIT! I'm getting my PAL and M14 this summer. Sigh. Blargh.
