I have a Norinco's M14 that takes commercial .308 Forster FIELD gauge,
there is no noticeable headspace left, but I'm not sure if that is the
total headspace (1.6380" is what the gauge says). It is probably very
close to 1.6380-1.64"
My questions:
Is it really safe to shoot commerical ammo from that rifle?
What is the maximum headspace that can be used to shoot
commercial ammo from M14s?
The caliber on the barrel says: .308
not 7.62x51
