M14 is a Sporting Tool!!! My one Pic. (You can post yours too)

Nah... he did not need to after all those excellent skills learned from/with us at Service CQB, Langemark Range, Base Borden! :D

i gotta admit.. CQB skills do help in the hunting department.. Its a known fact that most deer in ontario are shot at "CQB" distances.

awesome thread...... though i did shoot a small buck this year with a custom built m14s, I wasn't actually hunting when it happened. I was actually test firing 5 custom tuned rifles prior to shipping them back to thier owners. first 2 rifles , 2 mags of 5 each, 3rd rifle, shot one mag and walked back to the truck to reload the 5 mags I had brought for testing ..... and whaddya know..... a group of mulies strolled right past the truck..... even though i had just finished waking the whole forest up with the 25 rounds that were already shot down range. Lucky for me I had the presence of mind to bring my field belt with a loaded mag of winnie cpx2 150 gr and seeing 2 bucks in the group of deer, I wasted no time shoving in a mag, hitting the tactical bolt release and setting the irons on a heart shot at the one buck still in view. About a 150 yard shot by this time..... bang flop.... kick and dead ........ yummy "groceries" for sure.
I've got about 12 days left for mulies in BC region 3 so on my way down to host the december 11th m14 clinic..... I'm gonna see about another buck, and yes..... my shorty norc will be the go to harvesting "tool"
if i get lucky someone might have to bring a BBQ to the clinic hehehe
