i threaded a fulton m14 barrel to a Norinco m305 receiver with a norinco bolt
and the bolt closes on NO GO and Field gauges(pushed to closed on Field with a gentle force)

i dont think this gun is safe to shoot
how can i fix it
can i fix it myself?

Force should not be used in conjunction with a headspace gauge.
Is the bolt stripped? The ejector plunger can affect the feel. Are the op. rod and recoil spring in place? This could also affect feel.
.308 or 7.62x51 gauges?
Try the gauges again with the bolt and rifle stripped. Light pressure only. If you can feel the gauge, that gauge is OK.
If the rifle freely accepts the No Go, and you can feel the Field, the rifle may be OK, with those gauges. If the bolt closes freely without resistance on the Field, it is on the loose side.
If the rifle does have significantly excessive headspace, one solution is to prepare handloads to compensate.
A USGI bolt might fix things.
Selective assembly with other Norinco bolts might be a solution.
How was the headspace with the original barrel?
Too bad you didn't start with a short chambered barrel; then the headspace could have been set exactly when the chamber was finish reamed.
One remedy would be to sell the barrel and get a short chambered one. That might be the easiest solution.

this is what barrel instruction says " The barrel is parkerized and chambered .010 short to be finish headspaced and installed by a qualified gunsmith. "
is it a shot chambered one

I'm missing something here.....

Is the barrel a new short chambered barrel?

Is the barrel previously used/installed, and it WAS a short chambered barrel?

I am currently going through something simular at the shop.

Customer supplied parts, (this barrel happens to be a Criterion) and the bolt is head spacing 1.644. The barrel is supposed to be new and short chambered. I suspect someone has sold a previously chambered barrel as "new".... Its not the first time someone has purchased a M14 built by Bula or LRB or SEI and parted it out for a profit. The sum of the parts is worth more than the assembled "used" rifle.

I have never had a new short chambered barrel headspace with-out cutting the chamber, no matter what kind of bolt I've used.

I would contact them and see what their thoughts are.

If the outfit you're refering to is the one I think it is, I've felt with them numerous times and they have always been good when problems creep-up. Those are some of the problems when dealing in used surplus firearms parts, sometimes you get bad pieces. They could eliminate a lot of the problems if they did a little QC before shipping the parts to canada, but then they'd have to charge a heck of a lot more for the parts!

i found another bolt that closed on Go and doesnt closed on NOGO and field
it is ok to shoot but i m upset that this 500bucks new barrel couldnt let me ream to close on GO gauge to get a perfect chamber

I installed a used M1A medium barrel on a 2007 Norinco action, even when using the M1A bolt from the same donor rifle it would still close on the no go gauge. I have set my dies to give me about 5 thou shoulder bump and the rifle shoots great. Have put over 700 rounds through it without any case failures and rifle is as accurate as my M1A with the medium barrel. It may be that your barrel is new just not compatible with the action used?
Ive been tempted to try cutting into the shoulder of the barrel to get another turn in to take up the headspace but it works very good as is.
