Brownells sells one made by springfield armory , it comes with a castlenut wrench and the required allen keys to swap it out , I bought 2 of them now and it is around $110 or so delivered IIRC and no problems shipping them to Canada.

The Springfield muzzle brake in question does NOT come with the Springfield castle nut, only pliers and allen keys.

That being said, the stock Norinco nut will work fine.

It's also important to note that a Springfield castle nut WILL work, the thread pitch is the same as the Chinese threads.

If you buy the brake you might as well buy the new castle nut, believe it or not there is a difference in quality.

I have a Primary Weapons System (PWS) break on my M-14. Works great, I don't know where it came from, it was mounted when I got the rifle. Makes it really loud for the shooter though, hearing protection is a must. Minimizes recoil, barely moves the rifle off target.

Smith Enterprise, Inc cost gard Brake. feels good, looks good, works good. Dont worry yourself avbout the added "noise", real men have gun loudeners anyways lol.

I like the smith ent. coast guard brake the video using it on full auto looks like it works well.
Did you import one from who?
My understanding is as long as it is NOT a flash suppressor it's OK to export.

I'll like to do this one (if we can get them ;) ) On a Krieger heavy with JAE would be :xes
Not my rifle, but  Gives me shivers..... Apparently, it barely moves.

Great deal and, yes, they will ship to Canada.

looks like they pulled it off the boomstick mounted to a tank...gotta have it. got my brake from a fellow nutter, IIRC, alberta tatical has them, or can get em. I like mine.

There was a CGN member who posted these pics awhile ago of his muzzle brake that a friend of his makes here in Canada..his name was Leo I think
The brake has the splines inside not threaded .

I'm interested in getting a Smith Enterprises Good Iron M14 US Coast Guard / Navy Muzzle Brake for my Norinco M305. However, on Brownell's website it says that the brake will not fit a Norinco or Polytech M305, since the barrel threads on them are metric instead of imperial.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? I've seen people online who claim to have fit a Smith Enterprises muzzle brake to a Norinco.

Thanks
