M14/M305 Clip Guide

Most likely I'm having a brain fart....but how do you get the damn clip guide off the reciever?

You have to drive a roll pin out from inside of the receiver then tap the stripper clip guide sideways to get it out of the dovetail. You should be able to see the pin from the outside.

i do this in the reverse.... i drive the roll pin in and it falls out bottom. I use a piece of drill rod appropriatly sized. Then looking at it from rear of receiver, you drive the clip guide out from left to right. Installation is in reverse order, and if you are adding a replacement unit where the clip guide was, be sure to drive it in from right to left

that's the way i've done it as well- it can be a B*tch to get out, and i had to wiggle my punch with vicegrips to get it out-
