M14 machining drawings?

I believe a friend of mine, who is also a machinist like myself, found full blueprints for the M14 someplace online. We'll be starting the projects some time in the new year since we have all the machines and materials right at out fingertips. It's just too bad im so lazy and he's so busy with the Forces or we'd have custom built rifles by now.
I'll try to get the website from him next time I see him.

Receiver blueprints can be found here: http://www.m14.ca/pdf/blueprints.pdf Unfortunately, I did another Google search and could not find anything gas system related although I see companies like Smith Enterprise referencing military drawing numbers all the time. These should be available in the public domain but I could not locate anything but this one in my Google search.

The machining drawings are easy. It is the forging drawings that are tough. The forging drawings hold many dims that the machining drawings do not.

Ive got prints for the receiver, bolt, and magazine, and I have also done searches for the drawings with the usgi referance numbers but cant come up with diddley. I could reverse engineer and existing Gas system but that is assuming that all the dimentions are correct and i would imagine that wouldnt be the case. Oh well the search continues.
p.s. thanks for the help so far guys

PM Different (Lee Emerson) and see if he has gas cyl drawings.
Or you could phone/email Ron Smith in Mesa AZ for the specs, as SEI makes new usgi spec gas cyl's. I dont think he would consider the small canadian market a threat to his business. Worst he can say is no. LRB arms is the other shop that makes new usgi gas cyl's in house, hit them up too.
