M14 out of battery experience

Firing pin appears fine.
Also the firing pin didn’t appear to be sticking or gummed up in the bolt when we took it apart.
Nope. It happened on the last round that was in the mag.

That's what I'm wondering. Was a single round placed in the chamber & the bolt let fly onto it? (IE, the round(s) were not loaded into a mag, mag inserted into the firearm & bolt released...)

My guess would be lots... And I think the majority of 'out of battery' incidents with the platform, can be attributed to it...
