M14, prohibited?

he won't have any luck there either- they've got a law that disallows the re-importation of military goods ( ie rifles) and esp machine guns- and the batf recognises the m14 as a MACHINE GUN- his ONLY option is to dissassemble it or to sell it to another 12( 3) holder

Thanks for the heads up, ill relay the info, and maybe get some genuine M14 parts outa him. or have another CGNer a new M14!

"...supposedly "TRW" and "Winchester"..." Evil, converted, FA. Even though very few were actually used in FA mode.
ATF considers semi'd M14's as Class 3 MG's. No importing Class 3's, Stateside. The Socialist F**ks got their 'once and MG, always an MG' nonsense from the ATF.

If memory serves, there were a VERY SMALL batch of M14M's and M14NM's made by the original government run Sprinfield Armory, but they are all marked as national patch rifles and don't have the F/A parts. These were DCM sales guns in the 1960's.

IF one were in Canada with proven provenance, it would be non-restricted because they were remanufactured as semi-autos without the evil disconnector tab by the original factory, much like the VZ58's we get.

Good luck finding one - and even then it might still get prohibited.
