I heard somthing on CGN a little while back regarding a quick bolt release for M14 type rifles that should be coming in the new year.

Is there anybody who knows who the producer was and what the cost was going to be?

Thanks.

there are TWO canadian firms bringing tactical bolt releases to market ..... soon i hope.
NEA (charles martel) and I amexcited to see thiers as i've used and installed (for clients) thier mag release and it's a slick unit, excellent dimension and quality
and I believe BC Tactical will also be releasing thier bolt release as well, their new website is sure slick.... I'm also excited about the possibility of dealing with this new canadian company.

If you're referring to the little extension that lets you press through the trigger guard, they have been available for quite awhile. I forget what I paid for mine, it wasn't much. Yep, they're great!

Oops  wrong rifle ! I goofed.

No, they are talking a out the tac latch for the side of the receiver. SEI makes one and Rooster33 USED to make a decent one as well.

I ended up having to pick mine up from brownells. No one seemed to have one around, and I paid alot. It was a Smith Ent. unit. went for about 60 bucks. I love it, but would rather have bought Canadian. Good job to you fellas out there bringing us this great stuff.

Thank-you for those kind words M14Doctor. I will be sure to contact the web site administrator and relay the comments.
We still have not deiced between a Zinc coating for maximum rust prevention & also for optimum slickness too increase the life span. Or just to parkerize it for a seamless match for the M14 platform.
Any input would on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking at one of these on SEIS site not too long ago , and just wanted to make sure i read there description right , you can send the bolt home with this as well , it just doesnt lock it back with the mag out ?

... that's your idea of a marketing slogan? Or are you just popping in to find 'something' to complain about?

I've seen them.. they are very nice but they're not released yet, nor are they my product. So I will refrain from providing details, I'm sure NEA will reveal them when they're ready. I look forward to carrying it and using it.. that's my input.

.. I didn't know you were so sensitive to euphemisms.
