My rifle got tweaked a few weeks ago at Hungry's M14 Clinic. Today I got to shoot it some more.

There were four m14s at the Vintage shoot. I don't know how they all did, but mine worked well, and so did the rifle of the fellow i was marking for, in the butts.

Here is his 100 yard group - shot standing.

Here is my 200 yard group, shot prone.

Disregarding the high and low flyers, looks as if the core group at 200 was about 4". Quite presentable. Scope or irons?

My M14 has irons, but the front sight is a large aperture.

It was very easy to perfectly center the Fig 11 target in the ring for left-right, but the elevation was not as precise. That is why the group is vertical. On a round bull, the groups are round.

But, if I use a post front sight, the groups are bigger, and still vertical, so I find the large aperture to be best. I am very pleased with that group. I will click the rear sight up 2 clicks and call that the 200 zero.
