M14 Receiver/Bolt wear

Lol , i know i saw the mixed reviews on it but i figured i havnt had any chance to try steel cased and i wanted to see how the extraction would hold up compared to brass , just too messy.

and yeah i like american eagle but hopefully i wont have to buy ammunition too much sooner im thinking about going reloading.

The wear is shiny and is slightly concave inwards as seen in the pics below.

Totally normal.

Have over 6000 rounds through mine with the identical marking.

It's the bolt to receiver mating wear.

Now get out there and shoot her

I'm suspecting that Kc.338 is onto something with the op rods being out of spec. The rifle I had in the picture was returned to the dealer and exchanged for a new rifle with a more properly indexed barrel and solid op rod guide. Even though the piston is now trued with the rifle, the mark has re-appeared on the bolt and receiver with about 80rnds down range. I suspect I'll be swapping out the oprod for one with better groove dimensions.
