M14 Scope mount photos

The difference in quality between utg and a good brand, wow!
Couldn't get on target with elevation, maxed scope and was still 20-30moa above bore sight.

Utg rear dovetail had to be 1/4" above the guide when tightened down.

Put on a springfield gen4,perfection.

Went through this whole thread and couldn't find what I was looking for. Just bought a casm mount, hoping my atrs high rings don't put my Viper PST 4-16x50 too high!

Well...if they do (as I suspect they will), that's just an excuse to get new low rings ;)

On an unrelated note, ARMS #18 + ARMS #22L + ARMS #39 + Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 = just clear of the rear sight.

Any suggestions for mounting a red dot on an M305 shorty? The lower the mount the better, in order to avoid needing a cheek pad on the stock.

if you do not mind getting rid of rear sights look at M14/M1A CASM® "RD mount ..... if you do not like it you can always put the sights back on

there is one other one but can not think of the name

Unfortunately, M14.ca discontinued their MRD sight mount but a search for the MRD on google brings it up.

Just Having Fun: the other brand that I think you are thinking of is the Hopco: hopcousa.com/index.html

Myself, I went the pricier route and ordered the Springfield Armory Vortex Venom mount directly from them. It replaces the stripper clip guide and is the lowest mounting solution I found available.
iirc, it was $169 USD plus shipping and duties but it was awhile ago and my memory may be off. Here's what it looks like on the SOCOM II CQB:

I could NOT get it on myself. I needed to have a gunsmith properly fit it by shaving the tiniest bit of metal off the dovetail of the mount itself and the stripper clip guide mount.
Here's what it looks like on my rifle:

Please Remove

There is a scope mount for the M-14 rifle , made by Aim , which requires no gunsmithing .
