M14 Sear Release & Selector Shaft

It's not illegal to posses the components, they are often modified to make "dummy" selector kits.
The chinese receivers will not accept the parts anyways, nor will the stocks.
Modifying your receiver to accept those parts is VERY illegal.
These components, which are found on most converted auto m14 rifles, have had the "trip" mechanism welded so the selector is unable to function.

Thats what I was aiming for, a none functioning but close as possible to the m14 setup. if modifying the receiver is out of the question that puts a halt on that though. Thanks for the heads up

I've done it with the original neutered parts by installing an aluminum plate into a usgi stocks selector recess and attaching the selector portion to that plate. Looks slick and authentic.
The connector rod needed the tab in the middle ground off and some modification where it sits under the front of the receiver.
I can't seem to find the pics :(

The other way is to cut the back end off a connector arm , trim the middle tab, modify the front end and tig weld the connector arm to a hawk's dummy kit.
Both methods work well but you gotta be resourceful ;)

Also... You'll need to either mill a pocket in your oprod for the front of the connector arm..... Or replace the oprod with a usgi or RWB oprod.
