After my recent near death experience last Saturday evening,
where I dropped my motorcycle on an oil patch at the top of the Malahat trying to avoid the two cars in front of me that had spun out and were blocking BOTH lanes,
and after
I skidded on my helmet face guard several feet before my helmet stopped my forward motion by impacting the rear tire of the car in front of me,
and after
rolling into the ditch and watching as, only a few seconds after I did my face plant, the following traffic smashed into and drove over my FJR 1300 ,
I'VE BEEN THINKING!!!
Every one of the professional accident experts that talked with me, from the RCMP, the tow truck operator, the ambulance crew, the ER staff, all tell me I am VERY LUCKY to be alive.
And I do feel LUCKY!!!
Instead of the expected post traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety,
I actually feel more alive, more energetic, and basically revitalised.
It feels like I got a free pass ...
today REALLY IS,
the first day of the rest of my NEW life.
I was incredibly lucky to survive, or had good Karma ....
whichever way you want to look at it.
So now, I feel like I should be repriming the Karma pump by doing something unselfish. Being unselfish IS somewhat rare for me, but i think I owe the universe for my free pass, and want to pay off that debt.
SO,
even though I said I was not going to teach any more M14 seminars,
if we can get enough Islander interest, and we can find a venue,
I am offering to teach another M14 seminar here on scenic Fantasy Island.
Reply to this thread if you are interested.
Previous attendees are still welcome ....
this time around it might be even more kinky,
as we have some interesting M14 related projects on the go,
and may have some interesting M14 accessories available for show and tell.
TTFN
Good Karma to ya'
and if you ride,
try to keep the shiny side up!!!!!
