M14 Serial Number. Not 2007 stamped?

Hey guys,

My friend has an M-14 and he was wondering if it was the 2007 stamped model. The information on the receiver is as follows:

M14 .308 CJA SFLD MICH norinco made in china 004363


I remember seeing someone elses 2007 stamped receiver and the serial # was in the 2000 range.

Is my friends M-14 from a 2007 batch?

If it has the number "2007" stamped prominently on the receiver, it is from a 2007 batch.

If it doesn't, it isn't.

The receivers were not assigned serial numbers in any kind of order, so that is not useful.

I have one of those too. It's the old mark of an American importer and not from the 2007 batch from marstar. I actually got mine from DARK
