I have a USGI wood stock and the front ferrule is loose, pulls off easily... I'm going to put it back on and re-punch the tabs but I'm curious if there is anything wrong with putting some epoxy in there as well?

Nothing wrong with epoxy - if you want it difficult to remove the ferrule again.

You can use other removable glues - But why is it necessary if you re-punch the tabs ?

I just figured the tabs wouldn't hold again and I don't want to crack the stock by hitting it with a hammer and punch.
