I recently bought a poly tech m14 from a friends dad and it came with 3 stocks 1 wood, 1 synthetic, and the third is a weird wood folder with a plastic pistol grip, and wire type folding stock that can collapse as well as fold with a hard rubber butt pad, it is also notched for a full auto selector. I'm stumped on this one can anyone out there help me identify it and maybe put a value on it

Sounds exactly like the Reese M14 stocks, as above and Brutus mentioned.

Thanks for the info everyone, thinking about putting this on the ee or the next firearms auction in edmonton, not sure though still thinking I might hang onto it since it seems these are pretty rare

now hang on there- you don't know the WHOLE story- there's a few things you don't know- 1- the aft sling loop is on the TOP of the stock, just aft of the push button- it's put there to facilitate firing from the hip- 2- DO NOT USE this stock unless you do the popsicle trick first or your guide rod pin will walk out on you- 3- if you have an honest to goodness folder, make sure it has the LOWER BAR that locks the floorplate in place- if you have only the upper, it has been known to COLLAPSE under firing- a la reese- or have the stock fixed in place- if u push the button and it swings, you've got one of the poor quality REESE knockoffs and that's what they do- that lower bar LOCKS in place, BTW- 5- IT KICKS LIKE A MULE- put something BETWEEN your shoulder and that buttplate- think no 5 jungle rifle- no recoil absorption whatsoever- works fine unless you're firing strings of 150s or magfuls ( 20 rounders)6 NEVER FIRE THE STOCK FOLDED- AND IT TAKES LONGER to deploy THAN A STANDARD STOCK-- that hole in the side is for the selector switch, which is on the ORIGINAL m14 models-
and here's kicker- last time I saw one of the originals ie springfield armory- it was at auction for 990 us- but u won't get that for it in Canada
btw, I HAVE one
