M14 stock help

If money is no option you could send me several examples of each stock you're considering and I will, at my own ammo expense, do a bench rest comparison out too 600m. I will then email you a comprehensive report detailing my findings. I have two rifles with which I can perform the test so that one can be wearing the new fancy stuff and one can be in the original garb. Please feel free to contact me for shipping address :) :)

Honestly, why do people do this so often?

'herp derp, send it to me!'

I don't mind the USGI stock but find it a bit big for my short stature (only 5'6" tall). In fact, I find the standard stock on the C-7 to be a bit long too. That is why I prefer the VLTOR stock on two of my M1A's - set to postition #3, it handles just right and allows comfortable eye relief / cheek weld every time. All hail Morpheus!

that's no wonder= the " average" usgi was 5'8 to 6'2 and 150 to 220 pounds- so accomodations were 5'4 /130 to 6'5 250- that puts you right at the low end of the spectrum-the original m16 would have fit you just about right- the usgi stock fits most of the guys under 6' - over that, you had to add typically a recoil pad to increase lop- or build up the jacket/coat/shirt- unlike the canadian fn, these didn't come in s/m/l buttstocks- however, i found from personal experience, that i had to add "buffering" to increase lop and i'm only 5'8 - the "little " guys had to "invent" accomodation to accomodate these rifles- like holding aft of the checkering, or onto the mag, always with the buttplate up btw, that sort of thing- the issue folder would probably fit you- it was a good inch shorter in the buttstock-
