Hey there , notice quite a few people say theyve ordered stocks from the US but as of recently they have stopped being able to ship to Canada ? I got an m14s and really want a different stock .

Ive been looking between the Chassis system marstar sells , the VLTOR modstock and been keeping an eye out for an original or replica Rosewood or walnut stock for it .

Do the latter two often come up on Canadian distributors ?

USGI stocks have been restricted for export from the US for a number of years. IIRC, John(Marstar) is currently working on bringing a bulk from a US supplier(Fred's).

Marstar's alu chassis is made in Canada and the VLTOR is a modern stock not associated with any restrictions.

Aftermarket wood stocks like Boyd's are not restricted either.

Where abouts could one find a Vltor ? I checked all the sponsor up top and stocks for the m14 were few and far between .

Wolverine had the JAE 100 and the synthetic springfield . but i have a synthetic and the JAE is like a 12 month wait or some ish and more stock than my firearm needs.

Call Fabsports

Fred is going to retire and is cutting back on business. He also seems to be running out of the stock parts. It would be nice if john can get a shipment of stocks from Fred's before he quits. This will drive up the price of m14 stocks because buttplates, screws and stock liners will be harder to find.

don't worry..... what i have been toiling very hard to bring to cgn is nearly ready to show you all. A few folks have seen and handled what i've been quietly working on..... and though long over due, those that don't want aluminum, and want something more than a standard walnut or fiberglass usgi stock will not have to wait much longer. have been working out a small refinement to the stocks and that changes production slightly , but i will have something to show you all with the next 2 weeks when i get down to vancouver and onto a high speed connection.
I will have the all new M14SA2 Tactical availlable to order in a few weeks. the few who have seen/handled this stock have been pretty darn excited about what I have accomplished. pics to come shortly.

and for those patiently waiting for an alternative to the high end, high priced aluminum chassis or other american made options for a collapseable CQB/scout type set up...... please see the following add.... your prayers are answered ;)

"...Aftermarket wood stocks like Boyd's are not restricted either..." They are if it says M14 stock on the package. Not if it says M1A. Stocks are parts.

so is there an interest in a NEW Manufacture fiberglass/composite, standard m14 stock? something along the lines of the same shape as a walnut , meaning a little fatter in the grip and foregrip? with choice of stock liner or no stock liner needed versions? with or without NM bedding cut outs and without usgi connector/selector cutouts? and instead of a heavy buttplate assembly...... maybe a Pachmayr recoil pad?

I can do this...... i would guess they would be definately in the 200/300.00 ballpark
let's see a show of hands so i can see what interest there is and i'll consider it

Well I like the look of your black one with the collapsible stock . But if i couldn't get a full wood one , i would like something that would allow or incorporate the use of a cheek riser , possibly tool storage in the buttstock .

First option .

Black and Tan tactical combo , With adjustable/folding stock, cheek riser , bottom weaver/picatinny rail molded into bottom of stock , slight buldge in foregrip like a remington 700 , pistol grip compatible . ability to be bedded .

Second .

Something troy industry ish . but without the billion dollar price tag lol .

Additional options .

Maybe retain the ability to keep the stock cleaning kit in the stock ??

Sure there is.... I talked to somebody at Tapco, trying to impress upon them a sense of need for an M14 stock similar to their SKS one. He told me they considered it, but it is not in the making at any level.

If you could put on the market something like that, I'm sure it will sell.

i offer the M14S-CQB for those wanting a collapseable stock. the tapco is resin injected nylon and my stocks are hand made custom composite fiberglass.... huge difference.

as for my question about a standard profile new manufacture custom composite stock for the m14..... no bells and whistles, no fancy schmancy, just a standard stock...... is there an interest?

Custom made composite fiberglass - Yes I am interested, especially if it's under $200. No I don't need any fancy schmancy shenannigans either. Just a good solid stock that maybe comes with a cheek riser.
