Hi Guys
Im a newb with a norc M305 . and of course wanted STUFF for my new toy ,Sadly found most stuff rather expensive . like Spare mags & stuff .And me being a cheap ass, and spent all my beer chits on Bullits anyway .
lo and behold i found some nice 5 round mags on Ebay for $9.50 US so i got a pair
also 20 round mags are really cheap but figured they wouldnt get across the border . The Mags work great but are a Knats whisker shorter that the norc ones and is nice and flush with the botom of the shootin iron .
Of course now i got spare mags i wanna load em quick . so i got some stripper clips and a mag loader and a bandoleer for $13 US .
Most sellers for this stuff are in the states , and if you contact them they usualy do ship to the replublic of Alberta anyway
Just thought other M14 newbs might like to see another source of Stuff for yer new baby :runaway:

I would watch out not getting caught with mags, but sights & parts of the M14 is easily shippable..

Most will not ship stocks to Canada.

the 20 round mags.... how much does it cost to make the 20/5? get the difference and buy from Canada.

if you persist in buying magazines with capacity over 5 rounds for the M14, I remind you that they area illegal.... BUT : the parts for the said magazines are not.
Parts kit (because that is what you get if you disassemble a mag) is not illegal, be it for 100 round drum magazine.... get my drift?

FYI:

Due to changes in the M14 Classifaction by the U.S. Government, any and ALL USGI M14 parts require U.S. export permits to be shipped out of the U.S.

SKBY.

Would that apply to M1A parts as well? I thought someone said they had a stock shipped as 'M1A stock' and it was ok. Just wondering.

Skullboy is correct ! That is the reason that I no longer sell /ship M14 parts up North anymore . This was changed here in the U.S. about a year ago . By the way alot of M1A's still use some M14 parts . Be carefull because even though you are not breaking any laws you could get a person here in the states in trouble ,even if they are unaware of the laws . Not to mention if your goods get confiscated . Just a "Heads Up" .
Happy shooting !
Mike

Aside all of that, I stopped shopping "EPay" a while back as they have become quite anal about their sales policies. Used to be you could buy almost anything short of a complete rifle from them. Now, you might get an ammo pouch or a stock.......(meybe!)

Without realizing it, you probably did the right thing. Spend you money on ammo and getting trigger time, before you get stupid chasing down all the coolest accessories. Old Uncle Sam designed a rifle (that the Chinese copied) that didn't need much else for Privates to use effectively. The bipods, scopes, slick stocks and other charms just confuse the issue. If you rifle functions and you enjoy shooting, when you find something that doesn't suit your fancy, then go shopping. Until that time, get to know your rifle and learn how it shoots.
