M14 Trigger gaurd for Rem 700??

The M14 trigger guard is what locks the trigger group into the rifle. M700 trigger guards don't do that. The M700's trigger is attached to the receiver. The trigger guard for a detachable mag fed M700 looks like Part #63 seen here.

Seems nobody makes an actual drop in conversion kit for M14 mags anymore. They are all modified variants of it.

*H-S Precision and Accuracy Systems Inc. used to have the floor plate conversion kits.
H-S Precision and Accuracy International also had a custom stock modified for the M-14 mags.
Robar used to offer conversions back in 99-01 but they changed their business model.

You would be further ahead to look at something like the V-Bull Precision Mag conversion which uses A.I. mags......this system is tried and proven......
There were problems with the M14 mag system on bolt guns......mostly feed related......Robar Industries tried this back in early 1990's.......It was ridiculously expensive $600.00+ U.S. for the conversion......AFAIK, Rober no longer offers this conversion.
Plus the M14 Mag is for a Semi Auto, so it is limited to 5 rounds regardless of being used in a bolt gun.........unless the mag is permanently modified so that it will not function in an M14/M1A.......
