Well I am bringing my M14S bearhunting!

I'll be gone August 30-September 6th. I'm leaving with Jmasson & Signguy. I'm using federal premium vitalshok ammo 165 grain. We have everything ready to go :)

I'll give a detailed report on how I hold up with the 'rinco.. as well if it proves okay enough for bear! :)

just keep squeezing that trigger, them bears are out to getcha!

I think your .308 will be more then enough for that 25yrd shot from the stand. just try not to let the bear fall in all those donuts and honey, makes a mess of the hide ;)

good luck. I'll be taking one for the same mission too.

for the westerners.... why don't you start a thread on <<how to defend your treestand from the bear beneath you>>> ? PHs

baiting is illegal in BC, FYI
well given the population of bears there and the fact that most BC bear hunting Can be done without leaving a forest service road i can under stand why its illegal there

Hell, If you live in the right neighbourhood you're only a reg change away from being able to take them from your front porch. Damn nearly hit a bear this morning on the way to visit my folks, and I was on a main road.
