MY APOLOGIES FOR WASTING MERLLIN'S TIME.

There has been a ton of speculation and rumor about the restriction of the M14S/M305, NO WHERE have I seen any posted articles or official CFC documentation. All this negative buzz is doing nothing more than drawing unnecessary negative attention to this rifle.
If you have any FACT BASED information please start a sticky or start spending some time on the phone, writing letters or starting a petition.
Get us some usable information and give us some e-mail addresses we can send letters to.


The M14S is a great rifle and it should remain NON-restricted.

I will be posting a report about my two year love affair with solving the problem of marrying the M14 and the AR-15. Creating a straight line modular stock for the M-14S/M1A1
It was a long road but the final results were spectacular. Blending the very best of both systems.

There is absolutely no indication or evidence to indicate that any reclassification of the M14s/M305 will take place. Absolutely none. They are not under review and they can still be easily transferred. I had one transferred to me just a day ago.

This whole kerfuffle started over some import troubles involving some 858s that Marstar is bringing in and some Norinco T97s. From there it has taken a life of it's own and grown into a grand conspiracy by the RCMP to unilaterally ban semi-autos. If you read the various threads, it's all rumour and innuendo is being backed up with more rumour and more innuendo. I'd definitely recommend writing your MP, etc to support Marstar and Canada Ammo in their battle over those shipments but I wouldn't be concerned that they're going to come for your M14s. As I said, there is no evidence available to suggest that and the government has specifically promised that there will be no new firearms prohibitions/reclassifications. You can be damned sure that they aren't going to let the RCMP turn around and probihit firearms on their own despite the fact that there is no basis for doing so.

Hello.

My name is Richard Simpson. I am the director of the ATS club out at AFGC and I have hosted many clinics, seminars and courses that have been attended by a great deal of LE and Military members including DFO. At first I opted to not respond to these one liner posting on the board because, as I explained in my original post, I don't see the value in sniping at at each other about a common concern but my post was valid.
No where in my post did I mention selling anything.
So, I ask you, How did these post help anything?
There is a reason I have chosen not to post on this forum. The posts degrade into people saying things to each other that they would NEVER say to one another if they were face to face.
Very sad given the potential power of communication these forums have.

Call the CFC and post up the official documentation they send you on the restriction of the M14S I can't wait to read it.

As for the posts, I haven't said anything on Gun Nutz that I wouldn't say in person, and I also interact with the firearms community on a daily and weekly basis....

Sorry I don't know you.. or how great you are supposed to be. But as you have stated yourself, why post anything if you aren't going to contribute. Hopefully this gets locked and that's the end of it, we don't need threads like this popping up..
 
These posts helped by getting people aware of some very very negative actions on the part of the RCMP that did include the M305. Yesterday the RCMP got their peepees slapped and they have been told that no OICs will be issued at this point.

Maybe you should do some digging of your own, get informed. Hey I got a great idea, instead of trying to bring down people who are sacrificing to help firearms owners why don't you spend your time writing a few letters to the PM etc and tell them where you stand on the reclassifications of the t97, FSN-01 and sask sten? The reasoning they were using with these rifles easily opens the door to the M305 etc following suit.

I can't believe that I am having to justify myself on this, but my frustration was in the post after post fueling the, as yet, unfounded rumors about this rifle.

I've read your response a couple of times and I'm confused as to why you would respond as if I sent this to you personally.
I was looking for facts. If you are one of the people getting the facts then I salute you.

I think his comment has some valid points as does yours but the Idea is to inform people and that is not accomplished by having Internet slag fests it is extremely counterproductive. As for his product I will gladly read a review as I read product reviews from other board members

Super awesome work Sean! Keep it up. When Strangeday first posted about the reclassification of my beloved M1, M14 and SKS, I felt literally sick to my stomache, crazy angry, and got hardly no sleep for three days. Thanks for all you efforts and thanks to everyone else who has been working this issue with the RCMP/feds etc. Let's hope this is over for a very long time. :confused:
 
despite those that doubt the sincerety of the rcmp to reclassify many of our beloved sporting ams... the threat is very real. Multiple reliable souces have been feeding me intel for a couple weeks now...... i've just been keeping my mouth shut and will continue to honour that so as to not be cut out of the loop. Those of us in the industry and those of us just entering it have had to make snap decisions all along the way on what to import.... what to bring to market..... under the uncertainty of the intentions of the LEO top brass.

bottom line.... the threat has been there since registration began, since the AR went restricted.... and all our CA rifles went prohib. The rcmp has systematically attempted to take over the "god chair" of firearms ownership in canada.
It is a global agenda and a liberal agenda to disarm us all and the rcmp and leo top brass are all for it.

we are all brothers in arms..... lets not start tearing at each other over the validity of the concerns being expressed over the past weeks.

Exactly!! This is not just an RCMP agenda, this is a global UN agenda and beurocrats are working very hard to take our rights away, to make our lives miserable and dependent on the system, all in the name of public safety and curtailing "illegal gun trafficking".

BTW, this is starting to sound like Matrix a bit.....we are the Zion, the freedom fighters...
