I have a Norc M14s and an ARMS 18 mount inbound for it. I also have on the shelf a new Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x40mm tac scope with mildots.

Now, what rings do you all suggest? I really don't have any idea where to start to decide what rings to buy, so any help is appreciated.

Certainly low or medium height. I like the low rings because the ARMS18 is low to begin with and that allows a low cheek riser/position/cheekpad/cheekweld. With the Bushy 3200 Elite 10 x 40mm mildot, the rear bell might conflict with the rear sight aperture. Simple fix. Pull off the rear sights....

Medium height, if you don't want to pull off the rear sight to alleviate this rear eyepiece bell contacting the top of the rear sight aperture. :D

I'm a Millett Angle-Loc fan because I've learned how to use the windage adjustable allen screws. That being said, many people hate the darn rings and then post them up for sale on the EE Forum. I come along and buy them. Life is good.

MysticPlayer is a Burris Zee rings fan and he swears by them. Choose your poison! Just take a strip of electrician's (black is my favorite) tape to line the inside of the rings before installing them. This avoids/prevents any scope tube scratching/marking/scarring.

slushee a shop like Epps have lots of inventory for you to bring the combination up to Orillia and try things out before buying. :D

Hope this helps,

Barney

ARMS makes rings.

I used Medium rings on all of my scoped M14 rifles.............I have used ARMS, TPS, Badger, and Mark 4 rings without any issues..........

I have also used Hungry's favorite rings, the Millet angle lock....................they are good rings, but can be a pain to set/line up............

yep yep !

Agree muchly on the angle locs :D - lots of height options as well.
The windage adjustability solves lots of problems.

The .22 rimfire angle locs can even be used on Mini 14 receivers negating the need to by those expensive oddball ruger rings that only fit rugers.

Caution is the watchword - as it is possible to bend a scope tube with to radical an adjustment -

I think Arms #22 throw lever rings look great on an M14.
They are pricey at $130 and are 30mm, so you also need a $40 set of Arms #37, 30mm to 1 inch ring inserts for a 3200 scope.

Here’s a 3200 on my M14 with Arms #22 low rings.

thanks guys!!! for all the suggestions.

I found a set of cheap Burris Zee Medium rings (non-QD) at my local gun shop. I will attempt to install the tube with those. If I have any windage issues though, I will then just go out and find a set of Millet Angle-Loc rings as Hungry suggested.

BEWARE HUNGRY - I know where you live and I WILL hunt you down to help me install them !! :pirate:

Thanks again guys.. I'll post the final product in a week or so when my mount arrives!!
