M14s

Hey brother,

Don't take this the wrong way. Just trying to help out. I believe your sling is installed backwards.

It's actually a pretty fantastic design.

I wasn't sure so I just threw it on there :D

thanks for the tip

Can I at least use the dremel for a trigger job on the M14. I remember you saying something about trigger job and dremel :D

the dremel is the only way to do any sort of trigger job on the m14.

someone tried telling me that I needed to gently and carefully "stone " the surfaces (whatever the f*ck that is, sounds like some limp wristed liberal conspiracy to me, "careful" and "gentle" on a gun.. pfft.)

kidding... of course...

that shorty makes me want a second m14. my first was a 2007 m14s and it's kept me more than busy! op rod guide/piston alignment was not great, sights sucked, flash hider was welded by a 13 yr old on break from school, wood stock was horrible. All fixed now!

Finish is great though, some machine marks but w/e.

I just received my M305 from Lever Arms. Now to get out to the range and get it sighted in:)

Cool, I got mine from Lever Arms a fewmonths back and it works well. Have a good time and buy lots of ammo, you are going to need it!

Hello everyone, new to the forum, just purchased a new norinco m14s over the weekend for $460 taxes in with two mags, one 5, one 5/20 and a synthetic stock. I haven't even taken it out of the plastic bag dripping in oil yet. I was wondering how can I tell what year it was produced as I think this is from a recent shipment. Also if anyone has any reports on the quality of recent shipments of the norinco m14/m14s? Once I have some time to open it up and give it a good cleaning I'll post some pics.

I believe the year is in the serial number. Where are you located? All of the "quality issues" can be fixed fairly easy. Lots of info on here for the M14's
