Hey, folks.

I seem to recall a thread from not long ago with a number of excellent recommendations for leather M1907 slings, but my search-fu is weak. I know about Turner Saddlery, and the slings they sell are beautiful things, but I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a source of similar quality but lower price.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Dan

P&D Carries them.

I have used them on my M14 and M1 Garand. Look and work great.

Though they might not be perfect reproductions for the purists, they are good enough for me. :)

OK, sensing a trend here... :D

I've seen the Les Tam stuff, and it is absolutely stunning, but outside my price range. The Pacific Canvas and Leather stuff looks good, and P&D has a bunch of stuff that might work, but is of useable but somewhat graceless quality. I'll still pop over and look, but I dunno if it's exactly what I want.

Any other ideas?

I bought Turner slings, and am very pleased.
If you are willing to wait, you can buy seconds at half price.
I could not tell the difference between a "good" and a "second", have both.

Levis made in Canada has a repo 1907 slings, very well made 1-1/4" in either redish/brown or black! $40 bucks at wwwgmkarms.ca or 807-346-4088 I use these on my Winchester model 52 target rifles ,Win model 70 Palma rifle and my 1903 Springfield Arsenal sporter, cheers Dale Z

Very true, bud. I see a lot of the more inexpensive sings are made in India. The ones I've handled are indifferently tanned, kinda rigid, not supple or carefully finished at all.

I'm leaning in a Turner-ward direction. One of their seconds would be just fine. But now I'm curious about the ones at Pacific...

Decisions, decisions.
