Yes, it does indeed have an FRT assigned to it.
44194-1, for those interested. Classified as a Non-Restricted.
And, since it was mentioned, their Browning 1928 Colt (FRT # 119312) is also classified Non-Restricted.
Thx chaps. I guess I want to be like #1bcshooter when I grow up - just with a bigger half-track
When I get it, anyone in the GTA area who wishes to shoot it at the range, is more than welcome to. No charge
If anyone is interested, I might be able to negotiate a better deal than retail from OO for the M1918 BAR if we can, collectively, buy a couple. It is too late for me, but if there are others planning to do the same, it may be a worthwhile endeavor as it might save a few pennies on a rather expensive unit.

Couldn't find any scale models of these so I had to get the full size versions

Oh my. An outstanding collection of military hardware! Is the 1919A4 operational ? And is that a comm unit in the second picture ?
I neglected to update this thread. Export paperwork has been submitted and the rifle has been ordered with walnut stock. Now the wait as I added quite a few goodies on the application and am not entirely sure some of them will fly. Hopefully it goes through. Will update as and when I receive it.

So it's actually basically a lookalike. There is a world of difference between an 18-pound closed-bolt semi and an 18-pound open-bolt semi. The closed-bolt gun doesn't have that incredible LURCH when you pull the trigger.
Just mentioning this in case somebody gets one and then starts telling everybody about the INCREDIBLE ACCURACY of the BAR. (Might even put it 'way up there with the "sniper-like" accuracy of the BREN GUN, also an open-bolt LMG!)
Still, sound like a fun gun.
Just too bad we can't shoot the originals any more.
After all, this is SUPPOSED TO BE a FREE COUNTRY.
Isn't it?
.
We were blasting the ram silhouettes on the weekend at 500 m with the Ohio BAR, not every time, but 2 dead rams out of 5 shots was pretty good I thought. The gun was set up perfectly with the adjustable aperture sight being dead on for the ranges marked on it. Great weapon!
