Well, after a little celebrating last night with my in laws I thought what betting way to start off the new than with a BANG!!!(well, 200 of them) After talking to my father in law I made a call to a friend to see if he wanted to go off we went with my new M1A in hand. The day started off great, played around with the .22 for a bit and then it was time for the star of the show.

Accuracy is what I expected for this rifle and I wish I could have kept some of my targets from today. We stayed so long that in the haste of cleaning up they went into the trash by mistake. In all honesty, the best group that rifle couple preform was 1.5-2 MOA at 100M. More of them were around the 4 MOA but that probably was me and not the rifle. We spent most of the last part of the day hitting the gong a the 200M mark. I couldn't have started the year off any better. What a great rifle...:D

It's not easy to see now that I've uploaded this to you tube but you can see the shock wave coming off the bullet on the first couple of rounds

As a side note, when we got back t the truck I did notice the the gas system had loosen off and probably account for the group getting bigger at the end of the day:eek: (so maybe i wasn't me :D)So check to make sure that EVERYTHING is good and tight or it won't be for long...

The first video didn't work for me. The second video looked like you were having a blast though.

Nice rifle. I am in the process of building up a norinco m-14s. I hope to get it out to the range soon.

I'm up for that!!! Next time I'm at the range I will bring my camcorder and get more for ya. As a matter of fact, I think the next "wet coast M 14" meeting will include a trip to the range...:D
