M1A adjustable gas plug

Just an idea problem is the mags. Designed a new follower based off an enfields to fit the original mags. Got to find a machinist to do some lathe work on the threads the rest I can do with my crappy mill.

Speaking of threads what are the reciver threads on m305s?
 
Has anyone tried the adjustable plug with 180-200 grain bullets in an M1A. I’m about to, I have some accurate loads in 308 with 200gr Sierra game kings. I used to disable the gas system, but I’m hoping they will work with the shuster

Haven't tried them,but I'm sure it will work,just start with it fully open and gradually close it until it cycles..

What seems to be wrong with it,can I help?
I put one on my M1A last year and like I said earlier you have to start with the valve fully open and gradually close it until the action cycles reliably,works great on mine.
