M1A Flash hider, is it needed???

So, I'm in the middle of scoping my Nork. I've got the flash hider off and had the plan to put on a SE Vortex if I could find one. Been surfing around and come to here that the Chicom's barrel has a different thread than US made parts. I have no problem with the original one that was one it but now I'm thinking that maybe I could lose it all together. So what the result of loosing the flash hider for accuracy???

I've got one with & one without...no difference except the one without is shorter and a teeny bit lighter. I'd love to see some enterpreneurial machinist come up with a crown protector that utilizes the stock castle nut but omits the FH.
