I known it's been mentioned numerous times and even Herron Arms was at one point contemplating on making the barrels but found this on m14 forum and was wondering if any dealer or gunsmith willing to tackle the job without breaking an arm and a leg?

Did not Springfield Armory at one time offer M1A's in .260? Or maybe it was .243? I can't cite anything to back this statement up, just seem to recall reading that in a gun rag years ago.

Yes Barney, we all do and I think we talked about this one evening in your basement while you help me index one of my Norinco.

Hopefully our dream will come true.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Cheers

The CM rim diameter is slightly smaller not sure if there is any extra work need to be done to the bolt face or extractor.

The 260 or basically any 308 case family is much more simple.

Hmm, I figured since you run it with an unmodified bolt in a bolt gun that the same would apply in an M14?
