M1A/M305 E.E of its own....

Hey guys,

I'm just getting into the M1A platform and planning my build. Thought I'd see if we can drum up enough interest that we could try and get a strictly M1A/M305 complete equipment exchange instead of having to search all the military black rifle E.E. Maybe the mods to break up AR's and parts in one and M1A/M305 and parts in another as they're the most prevalent. Just a thought. Anyone else thinking this could be a good move?

So far, everybody spell their products to their liking, resulting in many variants for a same name.
E.g. Ads for an M305 could get titles such as M305, M305b, M-305, M1A, M-1A, M1-A, M14, M-14, etc...
This makes the search function very inefficient.

A solution could be predefined tags for major brands and models.
Suppose I could tag my M1A with "M14 Platform" and "Springfield", and somebody else could tag his M305 with "M14 Platform" and "Norinco".
A potential buyer interested in any brand m14 could then easily search for both.
Another buyer interested in anything Springfield could also get what he wants real easy.

My 2 cents.

not a bad idea...any mods want to comment on this? is it easy/feasible?
 
I don't think there is a chance in hell of them doing as you ask, however there may be potential for the the forum to be divided between NR and Restricted black rifles.

That would make the most sense in my opinion. Then they could share the parts forum.
 
I dunno what all the fuss is about. There is no where near the amount of M14 related adds here as there was 5 and 10 years ago. I would say CGN's "M14" community has shrunk by at least 1/2 when it comes to folks selling stuff and posting about their builds.
And, 1/2 the fun of even being here is wasting away time perusing the EE adds.
Suck it up, everything in life doesn't "have" to get easier, what fun would that be ;)
 
I know, It was just a thought. Res/Non-Res E.E is a good idea. I'll suck it up and keep knocking down the list one part at a time. When my builds finished I'll post it up With a few pics and a write up. I'm excited to get into to this platform. Thanks guys
