So if we shoot red star targets only 5 shots per piece of paper? Or five shots per target? Silly question but I'll ask it

Well I was thinking something like below (well except for the first and third targets). 5 targets and 5 shots per target on one piece of paper. I just use flipboard paper from Staples (50+ sheets for about $10), and either use the stick-on targets or I use marker to draw an aiming point.

Btw way decent shooting details on the rifle?

Hey Rut thx - that was my almost stock Norc in a Blackfeather, shooting my pet reloads. Out of that powder though, on order but I'm going to try this with my second best load which uses Varget (ooh...scary...:runaway:).

Looking forward to learning how those high end rigs like yours shoot (wish I could buy one...who needs a house) and how others squeeze a little more precision out of their rigs.

That's what I call livin on the edge.............what about the children !
Tried some Varget myself for the first time the other day, not too bad, but I must of been doing it wrong.
Me and the gun both came home in one piece LOL

If folks like the challenge I don't think we need a cutoff. This is just for fun, learning and bragging rights. :dancingbanana:

Depending on the turn-out we can do an easier or harder challenge concurrently.

I like it!
An open forum for bragging as tweaks and twerks progress!
Should also give guys a good idea as to what works and what doesn't, load data etc....

Maybe split it into two categories, iron sites and scoped? Let's see if everyone's as good with the irons as they say.

I was just gonna say this! I love the irons on the M14/Garand pattern of rifles

So what would you iron-sighters think was a challenging but achievable level of precision? For me with iron-sights, I'd be lucky to be on paper. If its 1.5 MOA I can track 2 categories, iron sights versus open, else we can just start another Challenge thread.

Yah Pr589,
You had to start this......stirring the pot...
Our mutual buddy is going to drive us nuts trying to match his scores but what the hell.... its only money...please don't tell my wife! (oh crap, just remembered she sends the EMTs for all the reloading supplies so I guess I'm busted anyway!!)

I'd say 2, a consistent, repeatable 2MOA with irons might be challenging.

I shot just under 2MOA with my M305 after Hungry's clinic. From experience, I'll tell you it really helps to shoot the right kind of target. One you can use a consistent hold on. I like a large black circle to hold 6 o'clock.

Rodney - if we're going to chase each others groups at the club, I figured everyone can join in the fun. Hoping to get out on the weekend and have just finished 100 rounds of 168 grain goodness.
