M1A spare parts

ya i saw that 200.00 exemption for canada as well...... and brownells recently mentioned 300.00 but have never really tested it.

screw it, I'm going to order a bolt for 150.00 from 7.62 firearms and see what happens.
and if they won't ship i'll switch the order to a gas cylinder with guts
Just a little heads up.
Bolt production will not be ready for civi sales until the end of next month or most likely beging of June.
Just a little FYI as I was thinking the same thing ;)

and i remember you telling me that about 10 times in the past few weeks LOL
i'm such an impatient freak hehehehe and i don't listen :D

on the bright side, i did just order a whack of replacement arms 18 bolts and a couple stripper clip inserts direct from arms.... they welcome canadian orders direct.

seems like some of the u.s. companies are starting to get the hint and are manning up with thier end of the export liscencing. looks like the days of tearing down usgi m14 prohibs for parts are soon to be over ;)

I'm hoping as heck that you are right. Will be good to obtain some USGI spec'ed bolts!

I just ordered from 762mmfirearms.

Complete bolt assembly 185$ and complete trigger assembly 195$. Should get it in a month, they're back-order.

That feels like a pretty good deal, even in the US would have cost more for used USGI parts. And it's new mil-spec parts! :)

Thanks to those who corrected the info on the 100$ parts limit!

JUMPIN GEEBUS hehehehe :D 185.00 for a complete milspec bolt sounds reasonable to me. I'm placing an order as well.

so i guess our dreams have come true :dancingbanana:
we can now get pretty much every part needed to upgrade or custom build our m14 type rifles, without sacrificing any more CA 12(3) genuine m14 rifles.
I guess the value of said rifle's as parts kits , has just taken a major hit.

Agreed, but it's still kinda nostalgically cool to have vinage M14 parts on your modern M14S receiver.

The one obstacle still remaining is getting USGI spec chrom-lined barrels with imperial threads. The only readily available source still seems to be 12(3) prohibs.

That being said, in many cases, the Norinco CL barrels often shoot as well as the GI ones if you properly index and headspace them with a nice USGI bolt. Living with a metric gas lock isn't the end of the world either, they are well enough made for the purpose.

EDIT: I forgeot, there still is no source for milspec oprods, though 762mmfirearms is supposed to be introducing them to their lineup soon.

If I didn't already have an H&R bolt and trigger group, I'd for sure order new ones from this company ;)

Well then I hope that the next good 12-3 M14 suddenly has more value in my safe than parted out.

we have had usgi spec oprods in canada for over a year now. 120.00
same oprods rumoured to be used by LRB. these are tested to be dimensionally and hardness spec of the original usgi. hammer forged one piece, imported by RedWhiteand Blue (RWB) in the U.S.
i have lots in stock and use them on clients custom builds regularly. ;)

Are they really USGI spec, drawing marked, and sold under contract to the US military, or are they commercial?

That being said, I'm more asking out of curiosity as I run a USGI oprod that fits nice and snug.

A guy around here made many builds with Criterion barrel (same used by LRB). Maybe he could help you.

Would the RWB op rod have any numbers stamped on them? The pic I have seen does but the sample i obtained did not.
