Wondering what kind of aftermarket stock options exist for the Springfield Armory M1A Supermatch?

My understanding is that the rear-lugged receiver and heavy barrel won't work with a number of common options.

The factory stock has obvious limitations, so I'm considering replacement. I do want to scope the rifle, so I need a higher comb and ability to add a bipod.

It seems like the JAE-100 will work with the Supermatch, but does anyone know where to get in Canada?

Interested in what other ideas people have.

wolverine supplies for JAE "I think" , but send an email to J allen enterprises , they are good to talk to to make sure you get the right rig.
other than that, the only other real option that I am aware of with any track record would be Mcmillan USA , they will most certainly have something for you.

I don't recall if sage international ever made a chassis that accepted rear lug, they are also super easy to deal with by phone or email with questions. bashaw sports is the Canadian rep (or was last I checked) edit* scratch that if you have a heavy barrel sorry

As 45 said, Wolverine is the JAE dealer. Not sure of the wait time these days, back when I owned one it was right on 1 yr.
Great stock though, have fun.

Why change the stock ? I put a cheek rest custom built in BC " coyote " fits like custom and comfortable. Drop in front sling and rail from smith Enterprizes along with there scope mount and bipod . Talk to Anthony. About $ compared to $$$$ for the JAE and looks better imo

How good do you and your guns shoot with the JAE and McMillan stocks ? I get 1.5 inch groups consistently with the factory bedded stock with accessories.

This group is from a test load I just developed and I haven't played with the barrel tension screw yet. 168 SMKs above 41.5 grs of 4895 LC brass

That's an awesome group , can it do that consistently? What about 5 shot groups ? I'm curious about the JAE stock too , I do believe it would be more adjustable and may fit better but does it really help it shoot better ?

As consistent as the shooter and ammo is. The stock has locking lugs which give you the benefit of a professionally fully bedded stock, but can be taken apart whenever you need. Also has the optional barrel tensioner.
Pricey, but a nice kit and with high manufacture quality.
Apart from some good hand loads, a Krieger heavy barrel and trigger job would top it off nicely.

It comes with a Douglas Heavy Match; Stainless Steel barrel and the trigger has a nice clean break to it
