M203 Hungry w/C Coy 3rd Bn 17th Inf Regt 7th Inf Div

Hungry looks extra happy.... He must have a thing for boomy goodness... You do seem kind of familiar to me from that pic though... Ever work with Langford? He joined up around your time...

Simple life back in the simple world. Just an old school black M16A1 with a straight forward looking M203 launcher. No tactical bell & whistle attached to every nook and cranny or 2 tone tactical paint splashed all over the gun.

Carrying that M203 was LIGHTER than my C1A1, I was impressed how accurate that grenade launcher was using the training (Yellow) smoke grenade at 500m and it's quadrant sights. Mind you when I deployed with a C1A1, I never felt outgunned with the FN. I always knew that whatever/whomever hostile party shooting at me would not have much chance if they tried to hide behind a skinny olive tree. "7.62 goes through!" and that was our mantra!

Langford? Hmmmm it's been a long 31 years now! Too many brain cells killed off with that 10cent a glass Carlsberg 'moose piss' bzzr! :D They served that in the Jr Ranks mess at Ledra Palace back in 1978 when we (1PPCLI darlings) destroyed that $ 3000 chandelier... ;)

If you need to know more details about that chandelier you'll need about 1/2 pint of Creemore Ale to pry it out of me or you could email callsign Foxtrot over at CFB Borden Range Control... he was in Nicosia in 1984 with 2PPCLI and he wondered HOW that chandelier was ever destroyed and never replaced...

HA! Great picture dude!! LOL

Over the years and many house moves, I have lost every picture I had of me in uniform. Probably best, as I was no where near as handsome as you were and it would be embarrassing to post one :D
