What scope mount does the american military use for these??

according to the wikipedia page you linked it says

Optics: A Bausch & Lomb Tactical 10×40 scope, or sometimes Leupold MK4 10x scopes.

OP is asking about the mount. If I'm not mistaken, they use a Springfield mount. I've also seen some documentation somewhere online mentioning Brookfield. Since Springfield Armory is where the M14/M21 came from (correct me if I'm wrong), I suppose Springfield is a fair guess.

Smiths does the M21, AFAIK. I believe they use an ARMS 18 or a Smiths mount (?)

I have a calender, each month depicts a Designated Marksman, in Iraq, fielding original sage stocks, standard walnut and fiberglass.
Majority of the rifles are wearing what appear to be smith enterprise mounts and ARMS mounts
Interestingly enough, the sage rifles appear to have arms18 mounts fitted.
Most optics appear to be leupold except for one in a fiberglass stock has a arms and a acog

Smith Enterprise, Inc. currently offers the M21A5 Crazy Horse in a modified GI synthetic stock with SEI rings, SEI mount and a Leupold scope.

TACOM Rock Island offers up the M14EBR-RI in a SAGE EBR with a SAGE cantilever mount, Leupold rings and scope.


As far as I can tell, this M21 DMR is no longer used by the us military

Man those mounts are $$$$ but I guess you get what you pay for. I dont understand why a small metal shim costs so much though

so what scopes do they use? 3.5 9x40 or 10x40?

Whats the deal? What scope did they use on the crazy horse at 700 meters?

ah, m24 is a rem 700, no #### its 10x power. m14 is different, its a scout, variable scope. m24 is long range, mill dots, fixed.
