Mine feels the same way, so I checked it carefully to see if it was rubbing on the magazine. Nope, it wasn't! But I did find what was happening. The trigger bow that pushes on the sear has a square U notch machined into it, where the sear bottom fits. That notch was cut a little too narrow, so the left side of it was rubbing hard against the left side of the sear foot, making the pull very jerky and creepy. I just filed a bit of metal off the left side of the notch in the trigger bow, and a little off the left side of the sear foot. No more rubbing there now.
However, that does not improve the trigger pull a lot, just a little bit. The way the hammer and sear are machined and finished is horrendous. Combine that with the fact that the famous hammer group fits a little loose and you still have a crappy trigger pull. In fact, in my gun, the first bit of creep you feel when you pull the trigger, is the trigger bow pushing the hammer group backwards. It's only once it has hit the back end that the sear starts to move.
This must be one of the best pistols for pistolsmithing practice.
