... This one i could put my safe queen S&B 5X25X56 PL4FF on it, sure it would awsomely accurate... JP.

From what I understand, there not made anymore. Aside from the signature, all it is, is an accurized M1A in a Mcmillan M3A stock. You might as well just put a Krieger barrel on you NM M1A and put it in a new stock, and you would have the same gun. If your honestly going to go after this rifle, you might as well put your money into an LRB build. Then you get to brag about your USGI spec hammer forged receiver. Plus that top rail mount beats any M14 scope mounting solution.

They are very nice. I like how the front of the scope rail goes between the barrel and receiver. I also tend to agree with Gobc if you are looking for a shooter as opposed to a collector. Aren't they like 5K?

"...Carlos Hankock the famous sniper..." That'd be Carlos Hathcock.
"...this is a legendary rifle..." This is a rifle that came out of the minds of SA Inc's marketing people. On-line site show 'em running around $4500US. Highly unlikely you'll find one in Canada. I hate to think what it'd be worth if you did. Like Gobc says, buy a Match grade M1A and put the $800ish USD stock on it.
"...your USGI spec hammer forged receiver..." I believe SA Inc's receivers are made in Brazil.
"...there not..." Where?

Not only does spelling and grammar count, but so does punctuation.

On the white feather you'd probably have a better chance finding hens teeth. I've seen them on m14forum but never for sale. I just finished putting together two m25 clones one 22" the other 18.5, I'll post pics of my finished products a little later.

Bet manys have troubles with their ponctuation in french... JP.

In this case, $$$ talks... And we all know caramel can talk! HE HE, I look forward to seeing pics of your white feather rifle caramel!

Cheers
Jay

If you can find one and afford one ( which, clearly, you can ) then go for it. Personally I would prefer a LRB but the SA M25 would surely be a nice piece of equipment.

It's your money, but I think your wasting it if you buy this. The only thing special about this is some dead soldiers signature. It's nothing more than brainless marketing. If you want the most accurate M14 type rilfe, buy good quality parts, and have a good smith build. It will cheaper and will shoot just as good (probably better) then the white feather. Good luck!

Guess i am s special caracter, but buying a rifle is not always getting it with the smallest possible investment, for me this rifle mean something special, a bit like the Nemesis, who in the world would buy a 6K takedown 308, i did and so far, it is one the best move i did in my life, i feel the same way about the M25 M1A...
I am very found of the M14 concept and this rifle represent the epitomy of that concept...
I like things that make me happy... JP.

Nothing wrong with what you said, but you should look deeper into what your going buy. If you want the best of the best M1A, get an LRB. Remember, the Sprinfields used cast receivers. Even though In practice, the difference is negligible. LRB even says there receivers are made as close to USGI spec as possible. They even state on their website that they are made for individuals who demand the best regardless of cost. IE that's you and me. The white feather is just a SA receiver stuck under a CnC machine that engraved a signature. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice rifle, but it's more marketing than substance. And as result, your value/$ goes down. Like you I'm planning on shelling out 5k on a premium M14 like rifle that will be no more accurate than a remmington 700 that sells for $600. And like you, I'm doing because I like the rifle. Don't like the rifle because of someones signature, like the rifle for its design. And that's why you should buy a rifle that most closely resembles an M14.

Now in the end if you really want the M25, as someone condemplating building an M1A DMR like rifle, I do understand. Just make sure you make an informed decision. In the end, if its really what you want, and what's going to make you happy, go for it. So if you get it, I'll be happy that your happy. :)

I believe SA Inc's receivers are made in Brazil.

Believe it or not SA M1A receivers are cast in Quebec. Forged LRB receivers are great, but a SA cast and milled receiver is not going to let you down either.

One of the reason, these rifle are gems, that is a good news... JP.
